The client’s design concept for this presentation centre and display suite was inspired by travel photos of opulent hotels and display suites visited on an overseas project tour. Interior design inspirations were also taken from hotels in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The client wanted an over-the-top luxury feel to compliment the iconic high-rise and development plan for this community. Metallic gold and platinum fabrics were selecteda in lavish textures like mohair and leather. Deep blues and apricot oranges were used for splashes of colour in artwork and accents. The specs were designed to be very multi-functional, and to work with a high-end luxury feel as well as a more casual, modern look. The backsplash features a faux marble tile that will last beautifully with any amount of wear and tear. The upgrade hardwood floor has a silvery gray wash on a brushed oak wide plank, adding a warm comfortable base for the grey toned wood grain cabinet doors and white countertops. In the bathroom, an entire wall was clad in faux travertine making the room appear larger and breaking up the large expanse of tile surrounding the tub. Luxury patterned wallpapers were used throughout the display suite as well as high gloss wood grains and chrome hardware.
